Certified Inspection Services, LLC (CIS) provides inspections of hardwood and laminate flooring.  The primary goal of our inspections is to inspect problems and identify cause for these concerns.

 

Site inspections and reports on findings are provided for homeowners, builders, flooring contractors, dealers distributors and manufacturers that would commission an inspection report.

Industry guidelines and manufacturer's installation instructions and maintenance instructions that apply are used to support testing and report's conclusion.  

 

Causes are identified as manufacturers defect, incorrect installation or site-related concern.

Stephen Skidmore is the owner of CIS and provides site inspection services and produces the written reports.  Steve has been in the flooring industry for over 30 years prior to forming CIS. 

​

Steve founded Meyer Skidmore & Co. a hardwood contracting company and flooring dealer in Boulder, CO. in 1984 operating the company with his partner for 20 plus years.  Selling the company in 2006 he has since worked in the flooring industry as a distributor's representative, and salesman for a full-service flooring dealer.
